The
word "onomatopea", written here in Italian, originated in Greece and a
similar one was also used in ancient Egypt. An
onomatopea is a word that imitates the sounds of life. An onomatopea can easily
be found in comic books, children's stories and everyday speaking, for example:
crash, boom, bang.....cheap, cheap, cheap! These
words vary from language to language. An American rooster says
"cock-a-doodle-do", while an Italian one says "chicchirich́". It has been said that music
is a universal language. In using this language we are no longer confined to a
specific culture or a particular part of the globe. Thanks for visiting. |
